For the past five years I have taught students in grades 1-4 at the Windward School, a private school for students with language-based learning disabilities. I teach spelling, reading, writing, math and social studies. I am also trained to remediate handwriting issues in both print and cursive. Helping struggling readers gain accuracy, fluency and stronger comprehension is my passion.
I have a dual Masters degree in general education and special education with a concentration in learning disabilities from Hunter College.
In addition, I am IMSLEC certified, which is Multisensory Structured Language Education.
