My name is Asia Mapp and it is a privilege workign with students and families in Mecklenburg County as a tutor, mentor and educator. I am currently starting my own tutoring business and I am enjoying every step of the journey! I have been passionately tutoring for six years, loving every minute of it!
I have taught over 100 students with several academic needs--through volunteer work back in my home-town in Sacramento, CA through PowerForward Mentoring Program. Specifically, I enjoy working with students and adults who have trouble with reading or writing. I also tutor grades k-8 in reading, writing and math. Grades 6+/college/adults in reading and writing.
I currently tutor children in my neighborhood and at Aristotle Preparatory Academy in reading, writing, and math. I am also the 4th grade Teacher Assistant at Aristotle Preporatory Academy. I have worked diligently in helping kids surpass their academic goals and building confidence in their work. Their confidence not only shows in the classroom or on standardized tests, but how they view themselves as a productive individual in society.
My goals are to build my educational background within special-needs children, adults, and other educational courses. My sessions are tailored to my clients needs and are individualized for their academic growth.
I passionately enjoy working with students and thier families everyday, and I am honored and happy that I am able to impact children on an emotional and academic level.
