I have done two resident teaching rotations, one at North Dallas High School - AP English as well as DISD Middle School in 7th grade English Language Arts.
I have Tutored 1st - 5th graders in all subjects, mainly reading and writing in after school program while getting my masters in education degree. I have worked with the Alumni Association as a volunteer for new graduates of Ohio University here in Dallas. Assisting with Resume Writing, interview skills and Job Advising.
I spent 10 years in the corporate field of Marketing and Advertising before making a career change to my passion, teaching. I have never felt so good about what I was doing and have finally found what I was looking for, my purpose and passion.
I am looking forward to a private home school situation where I can do what I do best - work one on one with students or several children incorporating real-world experiences with subject matter for the greatest impact.
I am able to teach all subject up to grade 8. For HS I am certified to teach in English Language Arts. I have an ESL certification and I also specialize in reading. My patience is high and I would love to work with children with a learning disability.
