I am a 25 year old graduate of Pace University. I majored in Communications Studies, am a creative writer, and have always viewed English as my strongest subject.
I was also a musician over the course of 12 years, attended the French-American Conservatory at Carnegie Hall, and Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School where I majored in violin playing.
I love to teach students how to improve their English writing skills according to the manner in which the student learns, whether that may be through auditory learning or visually, or through kinesthetics. I also am a tutor for Varsity Tutors, and Berlitz, which is an internationally acclaimed foreign language school.
I also tutor conversational German and follow the Berlitz Method as well as my own method. My family is Germanic and I learned conversational German from my mother since I was a child.
I also tutor college and high school students in public speaking, college application essays, creative writing, and fiction writing. I attended Gotham Writers' Workshop over the course of a few years and was grateful for the quality of education I received.
Furthermore, I tutor elementary school students in spelling bee's. I teach techniques that help with memorization and recognizing phonetics when it comes to understanding and deciphering spelling for all words. As a child, I often participated in spelling bees, as well as studied for vocabulary spelling exams, for which I developed many helpful techniques.
I currently work with students who struggle with learning disabilities. I analyze IEP reports according to the students' needs in regard to what their school faculty records. This allows me to work according to what the school expects of the students' progress.
I pride myself on my patience and engaging manner of teaching, and the positive feedback I have received from previous students as well as current students.
If you have any questions or would like to get in touch, please feel free to send me an email and I will respond by the end of the day if not sooner.
