Whenever you don't feel like doing something, give yourself a little positive reinforcement by taking it bit by bit.
 
For example, an essay. I loathe entirely some I still have to do. However, set a plan to work on your essay for 30 minutes and then take a break for 10-15 minutes to do whatever pleases you such as video games or TV. It will teach you structure, organization, lessen procrastination, and you'll have fun while doing so.
