I coach students primarily in reading,  preferably of high school age, who require some level of one-on-one assistance. Thus, my 1st Tutor Tip is, if your high schooler has difficulty reading, let us sit and talk a moment or two.  I am a 69-year-old Black Man (who looks 50 years), and who is endowed with the blessed ability to converse with your child on a level they will find comforting.  Creating comfort and trust with your child leads to better tutoring sessions, and permits me to deliver to the client, service not less than excellent!

My 2nd area of expertise is as a coach and confident to your student, in the area of everyday living, learning and coping in an ever-increasingly complex teenaged society.  Though not an academically-trained therapist, I offer therapy/advice/counseling, and ANSWERS the teen might now be unsucessfully seeking.  No subject that occupies the mind and time of your teenager, is ever off limits to me.

My expertise as a tutor also extends to the disciplines of World History with an emphasis on 19th century crown politics and creative writing - including non-fiction.
