Short, Frequent Lessons Maximize Learning
February 18, 2011 by Maggie Dail  |

THREE KEY WORDS - FREQUENCY, DURATION AND INTENSITY: By providing short, frequent lessons with high intensity individuals learn more quickly. Many activities that form the Individualized Neurodevelopmental Plan (INP) last 2-3 minutes or no more than 10 minutes at a time. By intensity we are looking for a high level of focus. For example, during a 10 minute math lesson a struggling math student can focus on the topic much better than if you try to extend the time until they have completed the assignment.  These 10 minute lessons can be repeated through out the day in between other academic and physical activities.
