Hi! My name is Dana Vacca. I have been teaching for the past 10 years. I started as a general education classroom teacher. For the past 9 years I have been a special education inclusion teacher. I am certified in elementary, special education, and literacy. In addition, I have received my certification for the Wilson Reading Program and have been trained in PAF reading. I also completed a leadership certificate program through Manhattanville College.
I absolutly love what I do and look forward to working with my students everyday. Every child has the potential to succeed. Sometimes they may just need the extra review, a little more time, or the information presented in a different way. When a child becomes frustrated in school, individual tutoring can help build a child's confidence and target whatever they may be struggling with. As a result, school will become a much more positive experience for them.
I tutor in Rockland, Westchester, and parts of Bergen County. I'm willing to communicate with your child's teacher in order to help support what is happening in the classroom. This will also allow instructional strategies and expectations to be consistent.
