I taught elementary school for eleven years, and solely reading/language arts for the last three years. I am trained in Orton-Gillingham, a multi-sensory approach to reading and spelling. OG focuses on helping students learn to make letter/sound correspondence, blend sounds to form words, decode unfamiliar words, memorize sight words, and become better spellers. I can also help students improve their fluency, comprehension, and written expression. I work with students from pre-k through 4th grade. My service area includes Meridian Hills, Broad Ripple, and Carmel (south of 116th St.).
