Education
Currently, I am in the process of enrolling at Memphis College of Art's MAARTed program. Union University (2007-2011) Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies with a focus in Teaching English as a Second Language. Completed a Teacher education program by 2012. University of Memphis (1997-2005) Originally majored in Art but changed in 2001 to Spanish.
I am originally from Memphis, TN and currently reside in the South Memphis area. Professionally, I have been teaching English as a Second Language to first and second graders at Egypt Elementary for three years. While I studied at Union in Jackson, TN, I privately taught college atheletes from Chile, Haiti, and Serbia for a complete total of three years.
For those interested in art, I have always loved art. It was my major in high school and originally for college but it did not work the way I planned. However, I have been able to take the lessons that I learned from that period of my life and can teach high school students how to prepare a college / professional portfolio.
