My name is Jason Sipe, and I'm not like the other teachers. I hold a Master's degree in history from Butler University and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Indiana University. I completed my undergraduate work in my late thirties after working as a broadcaster, stagehand and entrepreneur. After teaching in traditional and online public schools in Indiana for 8 years, I now offer my services in an online setting.
My approach is pretty simple. We will meet online once to discuss your situation and goals. During that meeting, we will come up with a basic plan to meet those goals and arrange a first tutoring session. That first tutoring session is free. If you think my approach is compatible with your learning style, we will set a schedule and discuss payment options. If not, there is no obligation to pay or continue our services.
I offer an individual approach to learning to better address the unique challenges of all students. I have worked with both exceptionally high and low achieving students, as well as those on the autism spectrum. I especially enjoy working with immigrant families to insure the foundations of American culture and US history are mastered. I prefer to utilize our Adobe Connect online classroom for all tutoring sessions. The sessions are recorded and make a great resource for parents and students following the meetings.
