I've been teaching for three years. I'm currently a 7th grade math teacher. I've taught 8th and 10th grade. Before teaching, I was an accountant at IBM for 15 years. I enjoyed my career, but I wanted to have a career where I can make a difference in children's lives. I kept hearing youngsters say that they hate math and I knew that I can show them how math can be fun, how it relates to the world we live in and strategies to help them be successful in math. I've found that there is no better reward then helping a child fulfill his/her goal and turning their "I can't" attitude into "I can."
